But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly -
You may be like me, raised in church, every time the door was open, I was there. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, my attendance became more about religious practice than a true relationship with Christ.
That may not be your story, maybe you haven’t been exposed to Christianity but lived life feeling like something was “missing”. In both scenarios, there is one common theme, we all reach a point where “enough is enough”. When I reached my “rock bottom”, the “closet” was my first destination. Communication is key to developing any relationship and my soul was starving for conversation.
Closet Women Prayer Baskets contain tools that I have used to create my own “prayer closet”. It’s a starter kit, so please incorporate your own personal touch. Most importantly, recognize that this is YOUR “secret room” with the Lord and He isn’t interested in the content of your “closet” but more concerned with the condition of your heart that leads you there.
Some of the contents of the Closet Women Prayer Basket include a pillow, prayer journal, and candle which have been inspired by the scriptures below:
Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; - Ephesians 3:13-16
Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart. – Proverbs 7:2-3
For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: - II Corinthians 2:1
